East of Slidell, Louisiana

The large New Orleans surburb of Slidell is vibrant and shows little remaining signs of storm damage, but in the rural areas near the Pearl River, many are still living in FEMA trailers, large debris remains by the roadside, and large dead vegetation is still prominent (these trees were covered in 20 feet of brackish water for over an hour, two years ago, so only the hardiest survived).
