Biloxi, MS
The gambling capital of the Redneck Riveria is buzzing with tourist life again. But I don't see any casino barges. Why? Because in an effort to spur the region's economy, the state decided to allow gambling on land. On my last visits here, I saw huge casino barges, which had been broken off their moorings, lying across roadways in the town. Those barges, as large as cruise ships, must have presented a challenge to clear, and were probably dismantled in place.
